I’m Grace Delp, Co-Director of The Nest Infant & Toddler Development Center and The Children’s Greenhouse Learning Center. I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education and bring over 15 years of experience in the field, including 10 years in an administrative leadership role.

 

Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with children of all ages, though my primary passion and expertise lie with pre-kindergarten–aged children. I have a strong background in curriculum development and am deeply committed to providing children with high-quality, hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity, creativity, and a genuine love of learning.

 

I believe that meaningful learning happens when children are actively engaged, supported by caring educators, and encouraged to explore the world around them. In my role as Co-Director, I focus on supporting teachers, strengthening classroom practices, and ensuring that our programs remain intentional, developmentally appropriate, and aligned with best practices in early childhood education.

 

I’m proud to be part of a leadership team that values relationships, collaboration, and thoughtful learning environments—and I’m honored to support the children, families, and educators who make The Nest and The Greenhouse such special places.

I’m Alana McLaughlin, the Owner and Co-Director of The Nest Infant & Toddler Development Center and The Children’s Greenhouse Learning Center. I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education and have dedicated my career to creating intentional learning environments that support children, families, and educators during the most important early years of life.

 

I opened my first center in 2014 with a vision rooted in eco-healthy childcare, Reggio-inspired play, and holistic learning. While academics are important, I believe that before anything else, children should learn how to be good people—to be kind, empathetic, and respectful. I want children to do the right thing because it’s the right thing to do, not because they expect praise or something in return.

 

My work with children is deeply guided by a trauma-informed approach, recognizing that every child comes with their own experiences, needs, and story. I believe in meeting children where they are, responding with patience and understanding, and creating environments where children feel safe, supported, and truly seen.

 

I bring 18 years of classroom experience and over 12 years in administrative leadership, which allows me to lead programs that are both developmentally sound and relationship driven. I also love creating outside-the-box learning opportunities that engage different learning styles and allow each child to thrive in their own way. Supporting and mentoring educators, and helping them grow with confidence and purpose, is one of the most meaningful parts of my role.

 

Outside of my professional work, I’ve been a foster parent for the past eight years and am also a mother of five. These experiences have shaped my understanding of children, families, and the importance of responsive, compassionate care.

 

I’m proud to lead programs that are thoughtfully designed, values-driven, and grounded in best practices—places where children feel safe, families feel supported, and educators feel inspired.

I’m Jordan, the Assistant Director of The Nest Infant & Toddler Development Center and The Children’s Greenhouse Learning Center. I’m also a proud mother of three, and my journey into early childhood education came from a place of both personal passion and professional growth.

 

Nearly seven years ago, I made the decision to leave my career in hospitality after discovering a true love for teaching and working with young children. That shift led me to earn my degree in Early Childhood Education, and I now use that knowledge daily to support children, families, and educators in meaningful and intentional ways.

 

I’m especially passionate about incorporating high-quality literature into the learning environment and believe that books play a powerful role in sparking curiosity, connection, and conversation. I love working alongside our staff to help create thoughtful, engaging learning experiences that meet children where they are and encourage growth through play and exploration.

 

In my role as Assistant Director, I value collaboration, relationships, and being present and supportive for both families and educators. I’m proud to be part of a leadership team that is committed to providing nurturing, high-quality care and learning experiences for every child at The Nest and The Greenhouse.
